1. About this site
This is mindnote.uk. The course content is created by the Author and made available through the Site. Contact: hello@mindnote.uk.
2. Scope
By accessing the Site, registering an account or purchasing any course, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Site.
These terms, together with the course description shown at the point of purchase, form the agreement between us. Where the two conflict, these terms prevail.
3. Definitions
Course content means the course videos, handouts, slides, figures, scripts, glossaries, templates and spreadsheet models made available on the Site, and any part of them.
Your account means the account you register and use to access the course content.
4. Your account
Your account is for your personal use. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activity that takes place through your account.
An account may be used on up to 2 devices at a time. Logins beyond that may be suspended.
5. Purchase and payment
Prices are those shown on the purchase page at the time you place your order. Payment is handled by a third-party payment provider and we do not store your full payment card details.
Courses are sold on a one-off basis with no automatic renewal.
6. The licence we grant you
On completing your purchase, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and revocable licence to access and use the course content for your own study.
The licence covers watching the course videos, downloading and reading the handouts, and applying the methods and ideas taught in your own work or study.
The licence runs for 12 months from the date of purchase. When it ends, access to online content ends.
No ownership in the course content passes to you. All rights not expressly granted are reserved by the Author.
7. What the licence does not permit
Without prior written consent, you must not:
- resell, rent, lend, distribute or communicate the course content, or any part of it, to the public
- share your credentials, or let anyone else access the course content through your account
- upload the course content to any website, cloud drive, community, messaging group or other platform
- record, film or transcribe the videos and make the result available to others
- use the course content for commercial training, classroom teaching, internal training or paid consultancy delivery
- translate, adapt or edit the course content and publish the result
- use the course content to train, fine-tune, benchmark or otherwise develop machine learning models or generative artificial intelligence systems, or carry out text and data mining for those purposes
- remove, obscure or alter any watermark, attribution or copyright notice
- circumvent or attempt to circumvent the technical measures protecting the course content
- do anything else that harms or is likely to harm the rights or interests of the Author, the Site or the course content, including copyright, commercial interests, goodwill and the integrity of the content. The items listed above are examples and are not exhaustive.
8. Encryption and watermarking of handouts
Handouts are delivered encrypted per purchaser and carry markings that identify the purchaser. If content is passed to a third party, we can trace it back to its source.
9. Updates and availability
Course content is updated as standards, regulations and market conditions change. We may revise, replace or withdraw individual lessons at any time.
The Site is provided on an as-is basis, and uninterrupted access is not guaranteed.
10. Termination
If you breach clause 7, we may suspend or terminate your account and licence, and fees already paid are not refunded.
You may stop using the Site at any time.
11. Nature of the content
The course content is educational material. It explains how to read accounting standards, financial statements and market mechanisms. It is not investment advice, accounting advice, tax advice or legal advice, and it does not address the circumstances of any particular person or entity.
Worked examples are teaching assumptions and do not correspond to any real company. Where standards or public data are cited, the official version issued by the relevant body prevails.
Decisions you make on the basis of the content are your own. For specific professional judgements, please consult a qualified adviser.
12. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms at any time. Revisions take effect when published on this page. Continuing to use the Site after that means you accept the revised terms.
13. General
If any clause is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining clauses continue in effect. Our delay in exercising a right does not waive it. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our consent.
